I created this slideshare to show how I constructed my Double Page Spread. It was when I was going through my final check of my blog when I discovered that I didnt upload my construction work of my DPS.

This is my final draft for my double page spread. The double page spread was definatley the hardest and most time consuming part of the magazine to create. I am very happy with the overall outcome of the entire magazine, as I think I have done a very good job when creating it.

This is the final front cover for my double page spread. It is very simple but yet very professional looking. I wanted to do something different compared to the others in my class to make my magazine more unique, and I think this helps that. Overall I am very happy with the overall outcome.

This is my final contents page for my music magazine. I am very happy with the overall outcome as I feel it is very professional looking. Compared to the last draft, there has not been many changes due to the fact that I was very happy with the overall outcome of the last draft. A few remarks from my peers helped me complete this to the best of my ability and I think this cover page fits in with the typical house style.

This is my final front cover page for my music magazine. In my last post I discussed what I was going to change for my final piece and I said that it was going to create a red box in the skyline. I did this but it did not look professional enough so I kept it black as it looked a lot better. I am very happy with the overall outcome.

I created a PowerPoint and uploaded it to slideshare to show my audience what changes I am going to make for my final draft. After I think I make these changes mmy magazine will be complete and look very professional.

I created a Power-Point and uploaded it to Slideshare showing people what differences there has been between my second and third draft. These changes also showed me what I have to change for my final draft to make sure that my magazine looks professional and is done to the best of my ability.

My teacher gave me some advice on what to change on my cover page so I took it on-board and created the next draft of my cover page. This will be the last draft before I finish off the last touches and produce my final cover page. I am very happy with this draft as it is a lot more realistic than my last draft.

Music Magazine Construction- DPS Cover Inspiration

I was inspired to do this from an issue of  Q Magazine that I purchased n November. A past pupil had did this aswell and I thought it was very creative. I wanted to use the image fo the girls with the sunlight behind them, and I did not have a place for it on my double page spread, so I created the cover. It is very differetn and I am very proud.

I was very much inspired my the use of the L from Lady Gaga placed int he background of the DPS for Q Magazine. When I created my DPS for Harmony, I wanted to incorporate these as I knew the background would look very bare. I think the use of the letters make it very much realistic.

In class, I recieved feedback of my front cover, contents page, double page spread cover and double page spread. I printed them and laid them out and then recieved feedback from my peers.

Love the cover of the dps! Also the dps is great only change I would make is the first page being white and perhaps it fading into grey instead of the black. Good house style throughout and all match. Make text on cover larger.

Would change the red and white writing under the image on your last page and the images to the right of your last page are blurred. Would make the puff better other than that its really good! I like the first two pages of the dps, really nice and different.

More cover lines on cover page, the contents page is really good. The image on the first page of your dps is a bit blurry and make the puff stand out more.

House style isn’t very clear and images are all slightly blurry.

Font is too plain for the genre selection.

Use better fonts.

Good colour scheme used throughout , lots of pictures with captions to clearly show what is going on, the masthead is unique and good for  a music magazine, the dps is very realistic and would get a mark band 4, the large L behind the text gives a realistic look.

Good use of colour scheme throughout – clear house style, love the pictures used throughout.

Front cover is a little empty.

Contents is very easy to navigate around but contains perhaps a little too much information.

Double page spread is very good, good house style .

Overall very good magazine first draft.
